Camp Staff
Jeremy Alumbaugh- Associate Camp Director begins his first season as assistant coach for SIUE men's soccer in 2010. Alumbaugh was named to the post in July.
Alumbaugh has a wealth of coaching experience at various levels, most recently serving as the Director of Soccer for St. Louis Scott Gallagher as well as the Assistant Director of the U.S. Soccer Development Academy.
He also previously worked as an assistant coach at Missouri State University, where he helped recruit three players who would go on to be drafted by the Major League Soccer (MLS). Missouri State made two appearances in the NCAA Tournament while Alumbaugh was there (1997 and 1999).
Alumbaugh also worked as an assistant coach for the Chicago Fires Reserves of the United Soccer Leagues, a staff coach for the Chicago Magic, and as the Director of Soccer Operations for the Springfield (Mo.) Soccer Club.
Alumbaugh was an accomplished player at the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh. A three-year letter winner, he helped the Titans to the NCAA Tournament three times, including an appearance in the NCAA Division III semifinals in 1994. He earned a bachelor's degree in secondary education and social sciences from Wisconsin-Oshkosh in 1995.
Jon Boyer- Assistant Camp Director becomes the newest member of the SIUE Cougars coaching staff. He was a four-year letter winner and a captain in 2006 for the Fort Lewis Skyhawks in Durango, Colo., where he helped the Skyhawks to a Division II national championship in 2005 and the national finals in 2006. He earned a bachelor’s degree in business management from Fort Lewis.
An Essex Soccer Academy instructor from 2004 to 2007, Boyer became the Academy Director from 2007-2010 working along side former Arsenal youth soccer coach, Andy McDermid.
Boyer, who holds a USSF National "C" Coaching License, also was the Director of Coaching for the Laramie Blizzard Soccer Club from 2007 to 2010.
Brian Jones- Assistant Camp Director begins his third season under head coach Kevin Kalish as the team's goalkeeper coach.
Jones helped guide SIUE goalkeeper Nick Frasca, who now holds the school record for career shutouts with 21. Originally from St. Louis, Jones played professional soccer in Belgium and Portugal after high school.
Jones and wife, Rebecca, have one son: Jacob. The family resides in St. Louis.
SIUE Cougars Soccer Camps will include top level coaches from professional, college and high school programs from throughout the country.
